Job description

About West Coast Supply Group

We move products and master markets. Based in the Netherlands since 1977, we are an international trading company specializing in the global flow of A-brand FMCG. With a reach spanning 75+ countries, our business is powered by sharp commercial instincts and long-term partnerships.

We operate in a fast-paced environment where decisions are made in minutes. If you’re hungry for international trade, entrepreneurial, and want the backing of a global scale player, this is where you belong.

The Role: Trader | Liquor & Spirits

As a Trader within our Liquor & Spirits team, you manage your own region, sourcing and selling premium spirits and beverages to maximize margins and scale revenue.

This role requires a true self-starter who thrives on high autonomy and takes the initiative to get things moving independently. While you need to drive your own business, you won't be on an island: you'll have a supportive team ready to help and an active manager who is trading alongside you and always available to spar on deals.

Your USP: The World is Your Office

International trade doesn't happen behind a desk. For this role, willingness to travel is a must. You’ll spend approximately 15% of your time on the road, meeting suppliers and customers face-to-face, closing deals, and witnessing market dynamics first-hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Create large orders with long-term potential, identify customer needs, open prospects regularly, and spot cross-selling opportunities across other Business Units.

  • Relationship Management: Maintain and manage strong relationships with customers and suppliers while implementing constructive solutions and improvements.

  • Order Flow & Logistics: Control order books, take full ownership of order flows, and provide input for ongoing process optimization.

  • Finance: Maintain full responsibility for customer and supplier payments, including supporting junior traders with payment workflows.

  • Projects (10% of time): Implement project-based approaches to drive commercial and operational improvements.

Benefits

  • Leave Entitlement: 25 vacation days per year, with the option to purchase additional days;

  • Professional Development: Access to LinkedIn Learning and support from a dedicated team focused on your personal and professional growth;

  • Weekly Drinks: Unwind every Friday with drinks and snacks at our in-office bar;

  • Exclusive Events: Join our summer and Christmas parties, featuring activities like go-karting and boat trips;

  • Travel Reimbursement: We cover your commuting costs;

  • Celebrating Diversity: Work in a vibrant environment with over 47 nationalities;

  • Health and Wellbeing: Enjoy fresh fruit in the office every day;

  • Referral Program: Receive a bonus for referring suitable candidates;

  • Dynamic Work Culture: Be part of a young, ambitious, and international team;

  • Autonomous Work Environment: Work independently in an environment built on trust and support;

  • Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our comprehensive pension plan.
