The Opportunity: Medior Account Manager (Open Application)
Are you a proactive, results-driven commercial professional ready to take ownership of a portfolio and drive tangible growth? We are always looking for talented Medior Account Managers to join our growing commercial teams in Leiden.
In this versatile role, you will independently manage client portfolios, negotiate commercial terms, and expand our market footprint. Whether managing established retail accounts, scaling challenger brands, or driving B2B trade deals, you will act as a key commercial engine within our business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Ownership
Take full responsibility for realizing defined targets in turnover and margin, making strategic adjustments when necessary.
Manage and expand a portfolio of client accounts independently, building recurring B2B business.
Identify new sales leads and commercial opportunities across international markets to open new accounts.
Monitor assortment diversification and translate market trends into actionable account plans and commercial actions.
Develop strategic account plans to outline growth goals, identify key stakeholders, and drive client retention.
Represent the company and portfolio at international trade fairs and industry events.
Relationship Management
Cultivate deep, strategic relationships with supermarket retailers, distributors, e-commerce platforms, or trading partners.
Strategically plan and conduct client visits to negotiate prices, promotional activations, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
Resolve client conflicts diplomatically, securing win-win solutions that preserve long-term partnerships.
Finance & Operational Control
Collaborate with clients to establish project or ongoing service budgets aligned with financial objectives.
Monitor customer payment terms, oversee invoicing accuracy, and manage cash flow and order book requirements.
Account for supply chain and logistics-related expenses (shipping, handling, and distribution costs) in deal structuring.
Leadership & Mentorship
Act as a buddy, mentor, and coach for interns and junior team members to support seamless onboarding and development.
