Job description
About West Coast Supply Group
West Coast Supply Group is an international trading company, founded in 1977 and based in the Netherlands. We specialize in the global distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), sourcing A-brands and distributing them across more than 75 countries. Our business is built on smart trading, deep market knowledge, and strong, long-term partnerships with both suppliers and customers.
We operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where decisions are made quickly, and results matter. Our teams work across multiple product categories from food and beverages to personal care and household goods serving a diverse mix of markets, from wholesale and retail to emerging channels.
If you’re energized by international trade, enjoy working with a broad range of products and markets, and want to be part of a growing and ambitious company, West Coast Supply Group offers the scale, speed, and opportunity to thrive.
About the Role – Trader
As a Trader at West Coast Supply Group, you are at the heart of our commercial engine. You’ll be responsible for managing and growing your own region, buying and selling FMCG products to maximize margin and revenue. This is a high-impact role where you’ll build relationships with suppliers and customers, spot market opportunities, and turn them into results.
You won’t be handed a roadmap. Success in this role means creating something from scratch using your market insights, creativity, and negotiation skills to build and expand your business. That includes conducting your own market research, making strategic business trips (around 20% of your time), and collaborating with fellow traders to stay ahead in a fast-paced environment.
This role evolves with you. As you gain experience and deliver results, you’ll take on more autonomy and responsibility with a clear path from junior to senior levels. Flexibility is key, as priorities and opportunities can shift quickly in international trade.
