About the role:
The (Category) Buyer at UFBG plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing procurement activities within designated product categories. This role involves sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and contributing to category growth through strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.
Business Development:
Assess and follow up on the newly offered products;
Negotiate prices, payments and delivery conditions;
Proactively follow market and product developments and identify opportunities and trends;
Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands. Relationship management
Maintain the relationship with suppliers;
Maintain contact with various internal and external stakeholders. Finance
Responsibility for supplier’ payments.
Projects <5% of the time:
Administrative projects;
Identifying process improvements.

Job requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor education in business administration, procurement, marketing, or related field
Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
Knowledge of cash usage including payments, creditors, and stock levels
Familiarity with debtors and creditors processes
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
